Registration |

Registration
procedure is simple and depends upon the motivation; consent
and agreement of client and family that if the patient will
be relapsed Centre can take him back for treatment.
Client remains on waiting list and gets admitted on his turn.
For registration it is necessary for the client to be regular
in attendance on area booth. So that his motivation towards
treatment be judged

Detoxification |
|
| |
This is the
first phase in the treatment process, and lasts for 10 to 15
days. During this period the physical withdrawal of the drug
takes place. Client receives Primary Health Care according to
the Medical Officer who attends the patient and remains on call
for 24 hours. Our dispensers also remain alert for any type
of medical help for 24 hours. Medical officer refers the client
for any type of hospitalization for further evaluation and management.
Our patients are referred to the concerned specialties bearing
at the cost of center, if the facilities e.g., laboratory tests,
dentistry and ophthalmologic or other services are not available
at our Centre.
The main features of therapy include:
• Symptomatic medical treatment
• No substitute drugs
• Bath therapy
• Individual counseling
• Peer support
Each month 120 to 150 drug users are detoxified and about 90%
of them entering the next phase of treatment i.e. rehabilitation

Primary rehabilitation-phase
lasts for 8 weeks and includes:
1. Group therapy
2. Individual counseling
3. Religious therapy
4. Seminar on different topics
5. Group meetings
6. Departmental division & TDs
7. Family Counseling
8. Community based awareness program
